I am not but I can see the way I am progressing so rapidly that it might be in my near future. What type of MS do you have? I have Secondary Progressive and wow! It was unreal my latest MRI. It progressed very rapidly within one year after diagnosis. I have had relapsing/remitting for 35 years. One year into new diagnosis. I am very interested in your personal history of how long it took you to get there. I pray you are being treated with kindness, compassion and getting the best possible help.

I have PPMS. No way I would ever go to a nursing home. I’ll die in my own bed.

A nursing home is where I have been for the last 10 months. I’ve had MS for about 40 years. Two years ago, I was still walking and able to tend to my personal needs. After having two falls, my world changed. I went from being independent to being dependent in just about all things. This was the only realistic option for me. If this becomes the only option for you, do your research and find a place that suits you and gives good care. All the best. Linda
