I always get more pain / discomfort in my left side. For last week or so I have been finding when sat down then when I stand with my walking frame my left leg makes it extremely difficult to stand. Is this part of the MS progressing? I already have SPMS.

Yep, my left side is my MS side which likely means damage on the right side of the brain. At least I am in my right mind.

Thank you for your post . It's difficult on my right side - I have a brace that was fitted and the deductible was covered by the MS Society - limited movement for the right. While in the spasms during the switch from right to left mu arms go weak. The left leg is stronger but after the spasms rendered exhausted.
Each spasm takes 1 -3 hours and trigger every 35 - 45 seconds. Twice daily. 2- 6 am / pm . I sometimes use ankle weights to add the perverbial stick that breaks the horses back to let the MS dragon know it alone won't stop me πŸ™πŸ»βœŒπŸ»

Mine swaps sides my left is weaker than the right. But the majority of the involuntarily movement is on the right. When my mouth gets weak its also usually on the left. As a right hander the left side is usually weaker but not particularly noticeable. It seems this condition is picking off the weakest points one by one.

Mine is also my left side although what sent me to the doctor first was my right hand.
