I get cramps and spasms. I'm not sure if MS is the cause or if it's something else. I'm not sure I care, I care about making it stop. I've never asked my neurologist since I only see her once a year and we're usually going over my MRI. and I don't think about them.
Correction: I DO have lesions in my brain and spinal cord and HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH MS. I’m not yelling, just capitalizing the importance of accurate information and doctors that believe you.
Cramps? No. Spasms? Yes. In Feet, legs, and hands personally. Throat and neck spasms could be related to difficulty swallowing so yes this would also fall into MS symptoms. My feet, legs, hands and arms started out one sided with numbness and tingling on only my left side. The next relapse moved to my feet and legs and caused chronic spasms for 30minutes to 1 hour. The spinal cord is part of the CNS system (Brain and spinal cord). I’d recommend asking for an MRI and getting a second opinion with a different neurologist. My Brain and spinal cord column contained many lesions that may indicate a positive diagnosis of MS. Getting a spinal tap may also be helpful to look for the biomarkers of possible MS. I would do this step first as MRIs are expensive without insurance. Other options are CT scan, X-ray, or ultrasound that may help your neurologist rule out what your diagnosis is not.
Both…..hoping to fix some spine issues and see just how much it helps.
Yes I get a lot in my feet. In the arch and it hurts really bad. I get them in my legs mostly in my right leg but not always.
