Also, I wouldn't just wait it out. It could cause permanent damage if you do nothing.

MI get double vision whenever I get to fatigued, it only goes away after I rest and recover for a while. They can’t give me glasses with prisms because the offset is rarely the same. It seems to get further apart or worse as I get more fatigued. I’ve just gotten used to watching tv with my left eye closed.

I had double vision in 1 eye when I had optic neuritus for the second time. I had to get a new glasses Rx to correct it. It was the weirdest thing, but I didn't ignore it. I ended up with a partial lazy eye in the beginning.
While waiting for my new glasses, I wore a blinder on one side of the glasses I did have. I got it on Amazon, and it slips over the arm and up around the lens.
The new Rx helped correct the double vision and the lazy eye. It took about 3½ years before I could get rid of the corrective Rx.
