Members shared deeply personal reflections on what makes them proud while living with MS, with responses ranging from celebrating small daily victories like getting out of bed and walking without assistance to maintaining careers, completing physical therapy, and caring for family despite profound challenges. Several members expressed pride in their resilience and faith, describing how they keep trying despite progressive disability, while others honestly acknowledged feeling less proud than grateful, or struggling with the reality that MS has become an insurmountable barrier that leaves them feeling like failures when told they can overcome anything. A recurring theme was finding pride not in the disease itself but in the person they've remained through it, whether that means helping others, staying connected to faith, advocating for benefits, raising children, or simply refusing to give up even when progress feels impossible.

My family and friends.

Over the years they have let me get on with life in my own way, at my own
pace without judgment.

They form a tremendous support network in the background when I need it.

I am proud to be the father of three great children, five grandchildren and married to the same woman who continuously supports my sometime juvenile actions and understands what MS has done to limit my physical actions !

I'm proud of my kids. Especially my son Sean whose a single parent raising a daughter. He's the best dad. I'm proud of myself for being a good example. I quit nicotine 2 years ago, and I excersize 5 times a week by walking. Now my son Brandon with NewsNowAlaska has quit smoking!! And he's lost 50 pounds, and started walking!
