My husband has been on Ocrevus infusions for about 3 years. Just recently his white blood count dropped critically low. Had to get a shot to produce more white cells. Neurologist says it's from his infusions. Otherwise he has had good results. No new lesions since he has been on Ocrevus.

The FDA recently approved Ocrevus Zunovo, a new injectable version of Ocrevus that can be administered in just 10 minutes. This injection is given in the abdomen by a healthcare professional at a doctor's office or clinic, rather than requiring a lengthy infusion at a specialized center.

Clinical trials showed the injection is just as effective as the IV version, with 97% effectiveness in suppressing relapses and lesions over 48 weeks. This new injectable form offers more convenience and flexibility compared to the traditional 2+ hour infusions. It contains the same active medication (ocrelizumab) but includes an additional ingredient called hyaluronidase-ocsq that allows it to be given under the skin instead of through an IV. Since you've had good results with Ocrevus infusions, you may want to discuss with your neurologist if switching to the injection could be appropriate for you.
