Hi Lillian,
I just got a million in whole life coverage. My premium is only 600 a month whereas my husband without ms is 3k a month. I was told because its been over 3 years since my last relapse my health is the lowest risk tier.
Years ago I was denied due to my diagnosis but I guess its not a disqualifier.

The information that I have gotten says that the deductibles are impossible. If you have a 2500 dollar deductible on a $5000 procedure. I think insurance companies know what they're doing that way.

The key is becoming informed about your coverage options. While statistics show relatively low enrollment rates (with many people not having long-term care insurance), this appears to be more due to lack of awareness than inability to obtain coverage. A MyMSTeam member shares an important tip: Consider getting long-term care insurance as early as possible, ideally when you can sign up without a medical exam. While it may seem unnecessary early on, having this coverage can provide important financial protection as health needs change over time.
It's recommended to evaluate all your insurance options carefully and discuss them with your healthcare team to determine the best coverage for your specific situation.
