I gave birth to a daughter with my MS diagnosis in 2023, she will soon be 2 years old, and now my husband and I want to plan another pregnancy again, are there any of you who have given birth more than once with a diagnosis of MS, and how did it go, your answers are very important to me because I do not want to worsen my health, but I also want to have children.🥹

The good news is that research shows pregnancy does not worsen MS or its long-term progression. In fact, most women with MS experience fewer relapses during pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester. Having MS does not affect your ability to get pregnant or increase risks for birth defects or major pregnancy complications. However, it's important to plan ahead and consider:

• You may experience increased fatigue during pregnancy
• Walking may become more challenging in late pregnancy as your center of gravity shifts
• Vitamin D levels should be evaluated before pregnancy
• Some MS medications may need to be adjusted during pregnancy and breastfeeding
• There may be a higher risk of relapse in the postpartum period

Work with both your neurologist and OB-GYN to create a pregnancy management plan. They can help monitor your symptoms and adjust treatments as needed throughout pregnancy and after delivery.
