I have it and I'm not sure if it is MS. I experienced sudden acute hearing loss in one ear a few years ago that eventually resolved. I am told I still have some hearing loss in that ear that will make tinnitus worse. I have to say it was probably more the punk and metal shows I attended in the 80's and 90's with NO ear protection.....oops!

Diane Franklin. You are correct there are 2 tiny muscles between the three bones to connect them.
