If you have new or much worse symptoms for 24 hours. A worsening of symptoms you’ve had a little before is called a pseudo flare. It happens when you do too much, exercise too much, get hot or sick 🤗 hope this helps

A neurologist would consider you're having an MS flare-up when:

• Your symptoms last for 24 hours or longer
• The symptoms can't be explained by other factors like fever or infection
• Your condition was stable for at least 30 days before symptoms worsened

It's important to note that not every time you feel worse means you're having a flare. Sometimes symptoms can fluctuate without it being a true relapse. To help track your flares:

• Keep a detailed log of your symptoms
• Note when symptoms start and how they progress
• Record how long symptoms last
• Share this information with your neurologist

If you experience severe symptoms or notice your disease-modifying therapy (DMT) doesn't seem to be working as well, contact your healthcare provider right away. They can help determine if you need immediate medical attention or if your treatment plan needs adjustment.
