My husband has multiple sclerosis. He has been on Avonex for some time, but he still struggles with weakness and stiffness in his left leg — it feels heavy like wood — and sometimes he has pain in his left arm. While weakness can be a side effect of Avonex and other DMTs, it's important that your husband discusses stopping medication with his healthcare provider first. Hello yes u have weakness in my left foot and leg with my m.s.for over 30 years i took medicine then for about a year nothing worked now I don't take anything but it is up to you and your doctor plus I have raynuaids which doesn't help but that's again is or i should say it goes withit.. research as ll you can and decide for your self.
