What is the latest therapy for MS? Stem cells? I have been on Fingolimod for 20 hrs, and feel Health is getting much worse. Have you stayed on the same medicine always and not switched? If you do switch, what are the next best treatments after DMARDS (fingolimod) ?

Hi Tanya,

I have no idea… i’ve never heard this before, but I’ve never had this much inflammation before. I am meeting with my neurologist on Thursday and I will ask him and let you know what he says.

Hi there- I’m so sorry. Do you mind telling me why the antidepressants don’t work with inflammation? 💛

I was diagnosed with RRMS in 1987 and put on all these medications, including antidepressants. I didn’t even know I was depressed, but I just took whatever they gave me. (I was young and dumb) I think I’ve tried every antidepressant available and now nothing seems to work. My prescribing doctor told me that there’s so much inflammation that antidepressants won’t do any good for me. I Googled it and apparently according to the articles I read, this is true. Who knows what to believe.

Depression often accompanies MS, please get on top of that. Antidepressants do really work!
