I agree that this is a decision that everyone needs to make for themselves but keep in mind that we are not taking DMT's for the right now we are taking them for ten +years from now. So, ask yourself this question: years from now would you want to say I did every I could regardless of progression or not or I should have .... Think about it.
That’s good, Brian!
@CShiver everyone of us is different and react differently. Many people are helped by DMTs and some .aren't. I took one for a couple years and things were no different than when I wasn't taking them. Now it's been a couple years that I haven't taken anything and things still haven't changed.. I still have MS and I still have the damage that was done before .My neurologist is pleased with how things are and so am I.
No for me.
Agree somewhat with @A MyMSTeam Member, but you need to consider what your end goal is too. Do you want to fight the disease with everything avaliable and keep moving as long as possible? Then a DMT might help you achieve that goal. Do you want to just fight/do what you your body does without drugs and have money? Everythuing is a choice and so long as you accept the outcomes, it is right for you. I made it 31 years before going SPMS and IU ook the meds and wish I was still RRMS as SPMs IS NO fun.
