@A MyMSTeam Member Thank you for that response, so true. I had a doctor say to me, “well now that you’re old, I want to stop that med so you don’t get dementia” I wanted to say FU I’m not old, and I have MS, so just give me what helps me Lol
Thankyou ,,,

The anti-anxiety meds should be revisited w/ doctor by age 60.
They take from the dopamine reservoir and cause the *potential for Parkinson’s especially!
The ssri Zoloft does have a small added *anti-anxiety component so the *possibility for dementia is a small added feature. Low chance but is there!
With MS and patients with other neurological issues things come down to Frontotemporal dementia chances.
The frontal and temporal lobes if they have presence of lesions; work especially close with your PC or Neurologist!
The statement is not doom and gloom but requires the necessary clinical medical navigation over time!
I’ve been on Zoloft for 8-9 years. It works with with my anticonvulsant in some way 🤷♂️
I’d rather not be on any meds, but here we are!
I trust & believe in Jesus Christ for my peace & joy. No depression for me 🙆🙋
I've been on Zoloft during this very long journey (I'm 62) with no problems. On another right now due to a change in another med. Drs will change them to make sure you are balanced.
