@A MyMSTeam Member it is really interesting. You should look into it. How is PT working out for you?

Yes Tiffany I take NAC, Spring Valley brand. Seems to help manage some fatigue for me. And it has other good benefits we may not notice.

"N-acetylcysteine (NAC) acts as a highly bioavailable precursor to glutathione (GSH), the body's "master antioxidant," by supplying L-cysteine, the rate-limiting raw material needed for its synthesis. It effectively replenishes intracellular GSH levels, reduces oxidative stress, and supports detoxification, particularly in the liver."

@A MyMSTeam Member I have been trying to do a lot of research on functional/holistic treatment. I am going to have a consultation with a functional medicine doctor . I know there isn’t a cure for MS , but I don’t want to be told to just take this medication and that’s it. I want someone who can help me figure out what personally triggered my MS based on my family history and my body. I want help figuring out what foods trigger me and what supplements would be beneficial. Anyway , if I do start Glutathione I will keep you posted on the results!

Glutathione is the body’s main antioxidant and it is anti inflammatory . An example is if you have a sprained ankle the glutathione will go to the ankle and lower the inflammation naturally. People with MS have low levels in the brain. A lot of functional medical doctors recommend it as a supplement to help reduce inflammation. Some do it through IV.
