I take 2000 of D3 a day, omega 3s, and 1000mcg of sublingual B12.

Warning:
I was put on Avonex initially and stopped after 7-8 months because I didn't feel like it was doing anything beneficial for me and I hated the whole routine associated with it. Best options, I think, are to change what and how we eat, exercise as much as we can without hurting ourselves, take LDN, take a whole bunch of supplements that are going to target the disease at the mitochondrial level.
A bunch of supplements:
SAMe (S-adenosyl-L-methionine)
Methyl Folate
Shilajit Fulvic Acid Complex
PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline quinone)
Acetyl L-Carnitine / Arginate + Alpha Lipoic Acid
N-Acetyl Tyrosine
Citicoline (CDP Choline)
Neuro Optimizer (which is like a multi-vitamin for the brain)
Resveratrol (for the anti-inflammatory properties...anything anti-aging is BS)
Spirulina/Chlorella
Coconut Oil
Inositol
Biotin
Vitamin D (10,000 or 5,000 iu daily…I mix it up)
Vitamin B Complex
Vitamin B-12 (sublingual)
Coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ10)
Ubiquinol (the more bio-available form of CoQ10)
Ubiquinine (yet another form of CoQ10)
Glutathione Reduced (pharmaceutical grade)
Magnesium/Zinc/Calcium Tablet
Fish Oil (omega 3 fatty acid, EPA and DHA)
Multi-Vitamin
Valerian Root (when MS keeps me up)
Theanine (at bed)
LDN (at bed)
Curcumin (at bed)
Licorice Root Extract
Less frequently…but for kicks:
Rhodiola Root(Rosea)
Frankincense and/or Rosemary Organic Essential Oils
I know it's a lot of stuff. The majority of MS DMDs are designed for the RRMS crowd of people and even those are only 33-37% effective (percentage comes from NMSS and WebMD). And those medicines are ridiculously expensive. The supplements end up being more cost effective in the long run. And I don’t take each one each day. I mix them up. One of the MS theories out there is that there may be a possible link to a retrovirus. With that in mind I try not make my supplement/vitamin regimen strict and regular. Viruses are in it to survive. They are very good at adaptation. And this is a war of attrition at its most basic level. So along those supplements I have also made changes to my diet. Less meat....a lot less meat. I do try to get the organ meats in there every 7-9 days (thank you Dr. Wahls). More wild caught fish (yeah I know – mercury risks). Twice as many fruit and vegetables as before. I juice fresh home grown vegetables (Kale, Celery, Carrots, Ginger, Cucumber). Lots of water. Exercise...a little bit or a lot every day if possible.
Keep reading. Know your new best friend as well as you can.
Good luck & Happy 2014!
