Question how does everyone deal with the heat? For those who can't take the heat. It gets over 80° outside and I can't stand it.
It got 82° degrees here & I went to pay my bills & pick my Medicine up. When I got back home I didn't make it in my house. I fell by the front door on the porch & laid there for about 4 or 5 hours before I could get back up to get in the house.
So I was wondering how everyone deals with the heat. For to one's that can't stand the heat? Thanks in advance
hey Anthony, Margann and everyone else, there's several companies who have cooling vests-Gobi Heat, Thermapparel, Inspire uplift and a few others. As others have mentioned, contact the MS society and other national MS associations out there-they have grant programs you can apply for-fill the application out, give the other form to your neurologist and have them fax it to the association.
Buy a hat that you can get wet with cold water and wear it on your head it will help out that's what I do
#1 Get a cooling blanket
#2 Wide brim hat
#3 Cooling vest
(Cooling vests are expensive. I use a fishing vest with lots of pockets. I fill those pockets with ice packs. Usually good for 3-4 hours.)
#4 Always find the shady spot!
#5 Take it easy, the faster you go, the hotter you get.

The MS Society called me this morning. Waiting on them to email me with paper work to fill out and send back to them. Then they are supposed to send me something in mail after that a card or something. I just hope everything goes well. Wish me luck Thank you all❤️ & God bless 🙏 you all
