Hello @A MyMSTeam Member, I take prescribed oil at night. It has eased my pain sufficiently to be able to sleep. 😊

Smoking is terrible it will cause more inflammation and pain in the body. You can try oil or gummies. Many people on this site smoke , and also take gummies. I dont do either but I am sure someone will respond and give you advice.

Is marijuana use okay for managing MS symptoms?

Marijuana can be helpful for some MS symptoms, but it's important to weigh the benefits against potential risks and always consult your healthcare provider first.

Some potential benefits include:
- Relief from muscle spasticity, spasms, and cramps
- Help with neuropathic pain
- Improved sleep quality
- Possible help with bladder control
- Potential anti-inflammatory properties

However, there are important considerations:
- THC can worsen cognitive symptoms like memory and processing problems
- Side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, impaired judgment, and balance issues
- It can interact poorly with certain medications (antidepressants, blood thinners, anxiety medications)
- Some people can develop dependence or tolerance
- Legal status varies by state, and it remains federally illegal

A MyMSTeam member shared: "It works miracles for pain, tremors, and spasticity. I have to weigh the side effects against the benefits."

The key is having an open conversation with your doctor about whether marijuana might be appropriate for your specific situation, especially considering any other medications you're taking and your state's laws.

I consume edible THC gummies. Primarily at night for sleep. I smoke flower maybe once a year.
