@A MyMSTeam Member: Back in the late 70’s or 80’s there was a lady my parents knew who had Stem Cell Procedure.
She had MS
Ok, Her husband and her were very well to do. If I remember correctly they flew to Munich and she had it done.
It apparently gave her life a boost. From being in a wheel chair to walking and then some decline came back and she was on a cane.
That was HER experience. Overall from what my parents shared she had a decade of *much better quality of life, still having symptoms but they were all significantly milder.
I don’t know if she is even alive today but it sounded like it did her good but decline came back to a degree.
But, it was ALL out of pocket $$$. I’m sure results vary per patient.
I’m fairly certain it would have been in the hundreds of thousands of dollars at that time.
Everything revolves around money, it’s sad! Maybe a cure some day. If there is one, it would have to be via infusion.
It would be very aggressive and not a pill or a brain surgery process.
It would, I surmise, have to be intravenous to work with blood and involve cells like *we cannot even imagine.
My subjective 2 cents
