I’ve had UTI’s before so I’m very aware of what it feels like but lately when I go I feel a tiny burning sensation so I make sure to drink PLENTY of water to help wash out any bacteria out if any. I don’t have that frequent UTI “urgency” to have to go feeling - so that’s good (I guess). Has anyone ever experience that? I’ve been experiencing this for a couple of weeks now.

Not an odd question at all — this is actually something many people with MS can relate to! There are two things worth considering here.

First, that burning sensation could be an early UTI. People with MS are more prone to UTIs, partly because bladder dysfunction can prevent the bladder from fully emptying, which creates an environment where bacteria can grow. The tricky part? Sometimes MS can mask UTI symptoms, meaning neurological symptoms might quietly worsen without the classic warning signs being obvious. Second, it's also possible this burning sensation is MS-related nerve sensitivity called dysesthesia — where nerve damage causes altered sensations like burning, even without an actual infection present.

Given that this has been going on for a couple of weeks, it's really worth a call to your neurologist or doctor. They can do a simple urine test to rule out an actual UTI. If it is one, it's important to treat it promptly, as UTIs can temporarily worsen MS neurological symptoms.

Drinking plenty of water in the meantime is a great instinct!

The last couple UTIs I had, I had no symptoms. They were found during lab work, which always includes a urinalysis

UTI's can be symptom or symptom free. If your having burning, tingling, peeing frequently, having to pee urgently or not having a lot come out even though you feel like you really need to go. I would see a doctor for a test to rule out a UTI, they are terrible to have with multiple sclerosis because they lower your immunity fast and can cause a flare.
