Lyrica twice a day keeps me out all day. Then they wonder why I don't also take Baclofin. Is "living with MS" just code for "make them unconscious all day so we don't have to hear them complain?" Just curious

That frustration is completely valid β€” feeling like you're sleeping your life away is no small thing. You're not alone in this. Many MyMSTeam members have shared similar feelings about medications leaving them too drowsy to function.

Excessive sleepiness is a known side effect of some MS medications, and it's absolutely worth raising with your neurologist. There may be options worth exploring, such as:

- Adjusting the dosage
- Changing the timing of when you take it
- Exploring alternative medications with fewer sedating effects It's also worth knowing that sleep problems in MS are genuinely complex. About 60% of people with MS experience sleep-related issues, and symptoms like muscle spasms, bladder problems, and pain can all play a role β€” sometimes making medication management feel like a juggling act.

The goal should be quality of life, not just symptom suppression. A frank conversation with your doctor about how these medications are affecting your daily functioning is not just reasonable β€” it's necessary. You deserve to actually be *awake* for your life. 😊
