I got diagnosed a few months ago and I have 2sons through ivf since infertility was a hard hard journey for us with severe miscarriages. Anyways I have 1 embryo left and I want my baby but my husband thinks it’s not a good idea. Thoughts please? Advice??
@A MyMSTeam Member sorry to hear about your miscarriages , that is always really tough❤️ This is something to discuss with your neurologist. Some medication is safe during pregnancy like capaxone , however Aubagio is not . It depends what you are taking and what the wash out period is . I have read that some women go into remission during pregnancy due to the high levels of hormones. Some women have relapses after giving birth. When my daughter was about 9months old ,is when I had my first bout with Optic Neuritis , I was not diagnosed with MS at that time. I would never tell anyone not to have a baby as they are truly a blessing. I think you and your husband should go to the OBGYN and Neurologist together and then decide . I wish you lots of luck . Keep us posted .
I agree with what Tiffany said.
discuss this with your neurologist, I've heard of several cases where some women had healthy babies and no MS in any of them.
I think it's a personal choice 50% your baby could heve it 50% they won't. I chose no only because having kids was never high on my list college was. I don't juidge so it really is your choice😉
