Members rallied around a question about tightness running from the buttock all the way down the leg and into the foot, sharing that this could be related to MS spasticity, sciatica, a tight IT band, or back issues. Several members described similar experiences and suggested helpful strategies like foam rolling, gentle stretching, massage therapy, muscle relaxers, staying hydrated, and seeing a physical therapist or chiropractor. A recurring theme was the frustration of navigating a disease where symptoms vary so widely from person to person, along with warm encouragement to keep advocating for answers.

@A MyMSTeam Member Hi. Omg yes I’ve had that happen in my back & Hip several times and sometimes it goes into my shoulder neck and arm. Do you feel like when the spasm is happening in your back It’s so achy and tight that even laying on that area hurts a little more because of the pressure being put on it?

Also, thank you for not being one of the people that flat out, say it’s not normal and there’s something wrong with me just because they have never experienced it themselves pretty annoying I would say since it does happen to people in different body parts. We are not all the same with this disease.

@A MyMSTeam Member I totally get you because I have a lot of random symptoms also but after this experience, I won’t be posting them here much lol. Do you deal with heat sensitivity? I am extremely heat sensitive, but I know of people with MS that do just fine in it but struggle in cold weather and I don’t struggle in cold weather. Just goes to show that even though we have the same disease, we don’t always have the same issues.

@A MyMSTeam Member so glad you're going to keep posting, there really is more positive people on here than the occasional perks. And you did the right thing to block them.

@A MyMSTeam Member Thank you I appreciate that and I won’t stop posting although I don’t post often. I blocked the person that was more aggressive than helpful Lol. We are all so different and have the most random attacks or flares but sometimes it’s like oh yes I’ve gone through that too. Hope you had a great weekend
