- Baclofen – a muscle relaxant that reduces spasticity and stiffness
- Tizanidine – another muscle relaxant with similar benefits
- Gabapentin – helps with neuropathic pain that can limit movement and balance
- Botox injections – can reduce muscle tone in specific areas
It's worth knowing that some of these same medications can *also* cause dizziness or coordination problems as side effects, which could make balance worse in some cases. Always worth a conversation with your neurologist to find the right balance (pun intended 😄).
