The LifeWave X39 patch is an interesting suggestion, but it's worth approaching with caution. There is currently no clinical evidence supporting its effectiveness for MS-related pain specifically, and the claims around "phototherapy" and peptide elevation haven't been validated in peer-reviewed MS research.

For MS pain Show Full Answer

The LifeWave X39 patch is an interesting suggestion, but it's worth approaching with caution. There is currently no clinical evidence supporting its effectiveness for MS-related pain specifically, and the claims around "phototherapy" and peptide elevation haven't been validated in peer-reviewed MS research.

For MS pain relief, there are better-studied topical options that MyMSTeam members have found helpful:

- Lidocaine-based creams or patches (e.g., Aspercreme with Lidocaine) — helpful for nerve tingling and burning
- Menthol/camphor topicals (e.g., Tiger Balm, Icy Hot) — work as counterirritants to interfere with pain signals
- Capsaicin creams — derived from chili peppers, can help with nerve pain

Always avoid applying topicals to broken skin, and be cautious with heat near any patch or cream. Before trying the X39 patch or the Cellergize supplement, it's strongly recommended to speak with your neurologist. Some supplements can interact with MS medications or affect your immune response, which is especially important to consider.

Never heard of it. I use Tylenol for the pain. I also use Dicoflinac. It comes in a cream and it helps my ankle a lot?
FYI it also comes in a pill, but it’s not great for your kidneys so I try not to use the pill. But on real bad days I have too.

Please keep us updated 🙏
