Members shared helpful strategies for dealing with severe dry mouth caused by medications like muscle relaxers and blood pressure meds, with many relating to the surprising experience of water making dryness worse. Several members suggested practical remedies including chewing gum to activate salivary glands, eating apples, swishing coconut oil, and gargling with warm salt water or baking soda water. A recurring theme was the value of Biotene products like spray and gum, along with smoothies, juice, and tea as better alternatives to plain water.

Sometimes just water all day can make my mouth feel even more dry , as weird as that sounds. Try to make a smoothie or some juice or tea. Try to chew gum because it activates the salivary glands and produces more moisture in your mouth. Eat apples they are great for dry mouth .
