Another day of extreme heat. It's making me feel very ill. When will it stop 🛑

Several members offered practical cooling strategies such as free cooling vests from the National MS Society, mist fans stored in the freezer, cold foot soaks, cooling pad machines from Walmart, lukewarm showers, and portable AC units. A recurring theme was planning activities during cooler morning hours and leaning on each other for encouragement while waiting for fall weather to arrive.

You can do what I did. Contacted the MS society and the sent me a cooling vest for free. Just needed a note on Doctors letter head that said I had MS and could use some help with a cooling vest.

You may be eligible for a free vest every 4 years from the National MS Society, @A MyMSTeam Member. Give them a call, (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators).

Me too!! My hubs and I can’t ever shower together because he showers with steaming hot water and I faint with those water temperatures 🥵

I do my best but also always try to visit the sick who are in a worst position than I and give them words of encouragement so that they don’t let themselves down.
