Members bonded over the question of unintentional crying with MS, sharing that many who were never criers now tear up at commercials, music, or for no clear reason at all. Several members pointed to Pseudobulbar Affect (PBA) as a common MS-related cause, with some noting that a medication called Nuedexta has helped manage it, while others tied their emotional changes to menopause, grief, or life transitions. A recurring theme was that crying is not weakness but a deeply human response, and members offered each other warmth, humor, and reassurance that no one is alone in this experience.

@A MyMSTeam Member my condolences. I am so sorry. I can see where that would make you cry!

Absolutely. And MS and menopausal mood swings are even worse

LaurieLemoine Yep this disease brings out the best and worst in us all, I definitely cry more often than normal (especially for a guy), I consider it like death, and everyday I die a little more, so even when I am happy it lingers over me. Oh well , keeps it interesting I guess

@A MyMSTeam Member, add in menopause and hormones - no wonder we cry! I cry at everything all the time ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Sounds like PBA (PseudoBublar Affect) which causes that. I haven't had that yet. mine bouts of crying are from songs that's affected me since childhood, songs that are so beautiful but don't apply to me, being happy over something spectacular (1st time was 14 yrs. when the S.F. Giants won their 2nd amazing championship and I cried during the celebration ceremony, I was just so proud of them) and thinking of certain instrumental people who're dead.
