Has anyone else become kinda unstable..? Emotionally I find its hard to regulate myself, random mood swings (changes probably 10 times a day), i also find that I struggle to behave in public. Not anything super crazy just saying things and behaving in a way thats kinda embarrassing. And I feel like I'm on the inside like "why did you say that? why are you being like this?" but I cant always calm down or adjust myself. This can be tough at work. I feel like I'm saying things that aren't workโ€ฆ read more

Members connected over the emotional and behavioral challenges of living with MS, including mood swings, impulsive speech, difficulty in public, and feeling disconnected from society. Several members described the added weight of mental health conditions, past trauma, and the loss of familiar coping mechanisms, with many expressing that everyday life feels like a constant uphill battle. A recurring theme was the deep relief of finding others who truly understand, even when real-life support feels out of reach.

I canโ€™t imagine gabapentin having any impact upon what you described - seems to be the easy go to that they tell us to take for everything! Hope you find something that helps you soon ๐Ÿ’œ

Yes i used to drink and smoke but been off the ciggies for 6 years, of the drink for 2 years but I do vape, I guess thats the only bad habit I have but it helps with my anxiety.

I used to find id swap one bad habit for another but I'd just had enough of my life style, but now my body and mind is 10x worse than it was before so I feel like it was all for nothing. I cant even smoke cannabis to chill me out because it gives me psychosis ffs ๐Ÿ˜‚

I was also struggling with my weight so I started a GPL1 and I have nearly lost the weight now but im still not happy with life.

Your not alone emotionally honestly I totally get it, but we are alone in the sense of everything else. Life really sucks and I dont think itl ever improve now, just existing at this point ๐Ÿ˜•

I take pregabalin and it makes me act so unintentional. I feel almost aggression and agitation too. I can end up in silly arguments over it. I also have mental health issues combined which can cause me to flip out at times. Im not sure if its directly MS related but I have become really unstable mentally as ive gotten older. I also have racing thoughts and struggle to be out in public, I feel i dont fit in to society, I find im thinking other people are judging me and looking at me.

Im not sure if this is helpful but I certainly relate to you, I hope you can get some support with this asap x
