That's the same thing that happened to me after my surgery in march. I had read somewhere that it can trigger symptoms. I hope yours eases up soon✨️

It's really good to hear the surgical pain is under control — that's one less thing to deal with right now! Experiencing a return of MS symptoms shortly after surgery can feel discouraging, but it's actually something that can happen and there are known reasons for it.

A few things that can trigger a temporary flare after surgery include:

- Infection — even a minor one can aggravate MS symptoms
- Body temperature changes — even a 1-degree rise can set off a flare due to heat sensitivity
- Physical stress on the body from the procedure itself The good news is that surgery and anesthesia don't actually increase the risk of a true MS relapse. What's being experienced is likely a temporary worsening rather than a new relapse.

It's worth letting the care team know about the returning symptoms. If it is confirmed as a relapse, high-dose corticosteroids are a common treatment option. Rest, staying cool, and watching for any signs of infection (redness, fever, heat near the wound) are all important steps right now.

Be patient with recovery — it may take a little longer than it would for someone without MS, and that's completely okay.
