Members connected over the experience of sudden mood shifts with MS, sharing that this can be a real symptom worth acknowledging rather than just a bad day. Several members offered coping strategies that have helped them, including breathing exercises, journaling, scribbling or doodling with crayons, listening to music, crying it out, and meditation. A recurring theme was finding creative and personal ways to release emotions while staying positive, with many reminding each other that owning your mood and having fun despite MS is both possible and important.

@A MyMSTeam Member very rarely I get the same thing but I always try to stay positive and strong. I also do breathing exercises to help me control my emotions and get past whatever is irritating me at that time. They usually work.

@A MyMSTeam Member scribbling is a great way to get your frustration out as well.

Moodiness can be caused by many things such as hormone changes, lack of vitamin D, bipolar disorder. It's also a side effect of some medications-check to see which one(s) you're on (if you're taking any).

I like the IDEA OF SCRIBBLING! MAYBE flowers that interconnect. Or just crusty angry scribbles! Anything to GET IT OUT.

@A MyMSTeam Member my moods can change like a flip of a coin. Breathing, crying and writing seem to help. Sometimes I don't write, but I scribble on the page. Just letting the anger come out on the page . If that doesn't work I listen to music.
