What gives me peace and very little worry regarding my MS is my faith in God . I talk to Him . Sometimes all I can say is - God please help. Another thing that helps is getting mad at MS! Saying to MS- I AM KICKING YOU TO THE CURB! MS! And having a sense of humor π₯°

Feeling terrified about MS is absolutely normal β and honestly, it would be surprising if there weren't moments of fear. Living with something so unpredictable takes real courage every single day.
Research shows that anxiety affects a significantly higher number of people with MS compared to the general population. So those feelings of fear and dread? Very much shared by many others walking the same path. Fear with MS can come from many places, including:
- Uncertainty about what symptoms might come next
- Worrying about how the condition might progress
- Adjusting to a "new normal" that keeps shifting
- Concerns about how MS affects relationships and daily life
As one MyMSTeam member put it, once they made a conscious decision to let go of fear, they were better able to focus on managing their MS. That's easier said than done, of course β but it shows that working through fear is possible. If the fear feels overwhelming or is getting in the way of daily life, it's really worth talking to a healthcare provider or mental health professional. Anxiety is treatable through therapy, medication, and lifestyle support β and getting help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
You don't have to carry this alone. π
