Members rallied around a question about why new members often ask others to move to a different site, with the community quickly identifying this as a common scam tactic. Several members advised to immediately block and report anyone pushing conversations off the platform, noting that scammers tend to ask too many personal questions and are unusually persistent. A recurring theme was staying alert and protecting yourself by trusting your instincts, and the thread also included warm wishes for the original poster who shared they were in the hospital.

Yes, you must be mindful that some people on this site are here for ill extent reasons. (so stay alert). And some people mean well in giving advice, but the delivery is off. I came across a excellent article about things to mindful of when offering advice. I am going to look for it and send it to you.

It sounds frustrating when newer members suggest you look elsewhere for support or information! That's actually a pretty common experience in online health communities.

Newer members may not yet know the full range of resources and conversations already available here. They might be sharing what helped them early on, without realizing you're already well-connected and informed.

A few things worth keeping in mind:

- Newer members are often just trying to be helpful, even if it doesn't land that way
- They may not realize how long you've been navigating MS and managing your health
- It's totally okay to kindly let them know you're already familiar with those resources

You're not alone in feeling this way — many long-time community members have expressed similar sentiments. Your experience and knowledge are genuinely valuable here! 💙
