@A MyMSTeam Member I love any day that has sunshine whether it's in the woods, beach or just an empty field. Darkness doesn't help with my depression.

Hah, Great question, @A MyMSTeam Member! I prefer the aqua blue water of the swimming pool, to be honest! I cherish my pool time. In the pool, I am not disabled, I have full range of motion and most importantly, I have NEVER fallen down. My regular swimming keeps m sleep pattern in a good place!
I have added you to my team, @A MyMSTeam Member!

Definitely not alone in that feeling! There's actually something to it β€” spending time in nature, whether near water or simply soaking up some sunshine, is genuinely good for mood and mental well-being when living with MS. A MyMSTeam member shared that good sleep and keeping stress low made a noticeable difference in how they felt day-to-day. Getting outside and connecting with nature is one of the simplest and most effective ways to support that.

Here are a few nature-based ways others find peace:

- Taking a walk near water or a park
- Sitting in a backyard or on a stoop for fresh air
- Bird-watching or gardening
- Simply watching clouds or the wind through trees

One thing worth keeping in mind β€” if you have MS, prolonged exposure to heat and direct sun can sometimes worsen symptoms temporarily. Staying cool and hydrated while enjoying the outdoors is important!
