(I SEEM TO HAVE LOST MY FILTER TOO,)I may have asked something similar before. If so, my bad! Well its been awhile anyhow if I did. I am sick and tired of down playing to everyone how MS is really causing alot of problems for me in so many ways! I get told how young I look, or how good I am doing! People can't see the damage and the trouble MS is causing for me. Sorry folks for being negative . But I really needed to say these things . My family is downright disrespectful. Except a few… read more

Members responded with deep understanding to a post about emotional changes and lost filters since being diagnosed with MS, with many confirming that increased anger, frustration, and crying are very real experiences they share. Several members described feeling like a 'kettle boiling over,' becoming more impatient, anxious, and overwhelmed by small things, while also carrying the extra burden of family members who are dismissive or unable to see the invisible struggles of MS. A recurring theme was the pain of feeling unseen by loved ones, and the comfort found in knowing this community truly understands what living with MS is like from the inside.

Teasha, 'this up and down thing'...., for some of us only 'down' unfortunately but thank WhoEver not me just yet..... However, the 'invisible' side of MS can be as annoying or even (much) worse at times?!! 'WYSIWYG' -whatyouseeiswhatyouget- no longer counts then!!! Brenda, 'Loosing your filter'......., how I bloo......blimming recognise that! BTW, thank you for mentioning it, I feel for a cup of caffeine!
I wish all of you, and in particular the ones that are much worse off than me, all the (extra) strength you need to make the best of a 'dire', if that's the right word, situation.
Your personal circumstances play such a big role at the same time, appreciate the 'good ones', try the ignore the 'bad ones'!! (10OCT26: I mean 'people' by that...).
Maybe use Brenda's 'filter' once she has found it? 😁

I do that from time to time. I know that its not easy. The only thing we can do is say sorry and try not to do it again

Brenda you are not alone there. My wife had to point it out to me. So, I remind myself of this fact and try to filter my responses at time, I also try sometimes not respond right away, but give it a little minute and decide the best response.
