A year ago I decided to drop down, now I am at 600mg 1x per day. I know there are better meds out there for RLS. May I ask why you are taking? Gaba has a whole host of bad things and could possibly chase dementia. 😱

Members shared their personal experiences with gabapentin for RLS and MS-related nerve symptoms, with reactions ranging from life-changing relief to difficult side effects like dizziness, memory loss, and allergic reactions. Several members discussed their dosages, which varied widely from 300mg to 3600mg daily, and some mentioned switching to alternatives like ropinirole, baclofen, tizanidine, or diazepam when gabapentin didn't work for them. A recurring theme was that every person's MS journey is different, and finding the right medication often takes patience, gradual adjustments, and close communication with a doctor.

I went from 1,800 mg a day to 600 mg and it was the best thing I ever did. I'm trying to work down to 300 within the next month. Gabapentin is a very serious medication and it really has a lot of side effects that can affect you in many ways.

I tried GABA but it didn’t work for me. Try eating bananas that have potassium and a magnesium vitamin. Also maybe some compression socks during the day. I know they are hard. To put on but just get a low compression and. They are easier to put on. Best of luck.

More than a few responders aren't able to take gabapentin; thanks Jessica for informing us on what works for you. Are any of you on anything else for nerve pain and/or tingling?
