Wanting to lose weight while managing MS is a common goal, and it's totally achievable with the right approach! The key is finding strategies that work with your MS symptoms, not against them.

Here are some practical tips to get started:

- Start small with exercise — Even 5 minutes of movement, like pedaling a stationary bike, counts. Build up gradually from there
- Choose weight-bearing activities — These help maintain muscle while burning calories
- Work with a physical therapist — They can suggest exercises suited to your specific abilities and limitations
- Watch what you eat — Focus on nutrient-dense, lower-calorie foods while avoiding processed options Fatigue can make exercise feel impossible sometimes. As one MyMSTeam member shared, trying to exercise "knocks me out for days." If that sounds familiar, try exercising in the morning before fatigue sets in, and be patient with yourself.

A few important things to keep in mind:

- Talk to your MS specialist before starting any new diet or exercise plan
- Consider working with a registered dietitian for personalized guidance
- Be aware that some MS medications can affect appetite and weight

Most importantly, don't be too hard on yourself — take it one day at a time! 💪

GPL1 ??
Although im not going to assume this method is for everyone I just thought id share my experience.

Due to being on alot of medication, I piled 4.6 stones on or (29kg)

Prior to this I tried everything to lose the weight before I went for the GPL1 option. Ive been using Mounjaro for 9 months, I have now lost all of that weight. I combined it with being in a constant calorie deficit, approximately consuming 1000 cals per day.

I now mainly eat proteins and low carb foods. I also purchased a foldable treadmill for my home, I use it for walking
( not running ) for 20 minutes per day.

I also bought some female multi vitamins and collegen gummies to keep me healthy.
