I have gained 30 pounds since being diagnosed with MS a year ago. I am overweight now but struggle to find the strength or energy to exercise after a long day at work and kids activities and housework. I think the meds I take might contribute some to my weight issue but if I could increase my activity level i might be able to lose some of these extra pounds. Help?

My primary doctor told me to go to walmart and push a cart around for an hour, then keep making long. 4 years ago I was 345 now 265. I also try and not eat a lot of junk food. Still drink reg soda lol

I eat a low carb diet and do water aerobics 5 to 6 days a week for an hour - it has helped me so much!!

I do a low carb diet and walk now 4 miles a day 2 in the morning and 2 miles in the evening. I noticed when I was first diagnosed with MS steroids were the answer for everything. those alone along with soe of the other meds to treat MS have a huge factor in weight gain. daily exercise and well balanced diet have gotten me off those meds along with a CHI doctor I go to for more natural treatments

I just don't understand. It is easy. Just tell all your family members you are going to cut the food bill in 1/2, and then 1/2 again. And you will be changing their body fuel source from sugar to fats. There is no more food in the new diet, so you are throwing away all the pesticide laced food and turning the stove into a planter. They get 2 drinks a day. There is no hunger in the diet, so they can't be whining about you making them something to eat.

If you are doing exercise, I suggest Yoga. It is gentle, easy, and it works for toning up the body.
