Many of the meds we all take will have a negative impact on your sex drive. Don't feel bad! Don't feel alone! When I took solumedrol I was effectively impotent during treatment and for a week or two thereafter. I got better! And my wife hasn't left me yet. After after 18 years, I think if she was going to leave she already woulda! I think we're in it for the long haul together. My ms, her bipolar ness. We're a heck o a pair!

I don't know about ms, but one of the meds I'm on, my happy pill, definitely does. During my last flare up it was the furthest thing from my mind - just making it day to day was all I could do. Plus it actually hurt (tmi???)

Omg! So glad to see this question out here, I thought I was the only one that has experienced this! My sex drive is non existent and it makes me feel bad for my hubby.

It has affected mine and because of the constant pain and fatigue from the ms I just am not in the mood. I feel horrible for my husband and I feel inadequate. Also with the weight gain cause of being on iv steroids for every month for 5 years I am very self confident. My husband tells me I am beautiful and he loves me but I don't feel like the same person when we first got together. Also with not being as active as I use to be it is hard to loose the weight. I weighed 130lbs when we first met and now I am around 170lbs. When I was getting the steroid treatments the nurses told me that I actually didn't gain too much weight that they had seen people that gained way more in a shorter period of time. I just wish I could snap my fingers and bring back that initial feeling that we had and that we can be more intimate than a few times a year. It's to the point that it's not even monthly. Sometimes I think I wouldn't blame him if he were to leave me for a healthier more sexually active woman. He has stuck it out with me through a lot and his 2 sons have seen a lot of what this miserable disease can do.

we are all human I am glad this came out there on this subject, without offending anyone . this was good and not meant to be used as a way to entice anything or exploiting anyone. it felt honest about something that people are to embarrassed about to talk about.
