I have had MS for the past 8 years and Type diabetes for the past 48 years. Diabetes people say exercise and with MS it's a little hard. I am 6'1 and 171lbs taking Rebif for MS and NovoLog for Diabetes on Insulin Pump. I get out and walk about 1 1/2 miles a day no matter what the weather. Any suggestions
I swim or rather do isometric exercises in the pool. I can really tell when I miss a workout.
Try Cycling i found it to be easier for me than to go for jogs or walks and now i kinda feel like cycling has been the best ms treatment ever
Thank you for response I know I have had Type 1 for 48 years and MS for last 8. Its family who don't understand because my mother Mom had it and she dose not understand how diabetes and MS has changed over the years every little thing she thinks it diabetes related
Type 1 diabetes generally occurs when person’s immune system destroys cells (beta cells) in pancreas. These cells are responsible in making insulin. Yes there is a link between Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) and multiple sclerosis (MS) contribute significantly to the load of autoimmune diseases in teenagers. Even I have diabetes for the past 12 years and had MS for the past 8 years. Normally people say in such condition doing exercise become little hard, but it is not true, if you take proper precautions and doctor’s advice then you won’t have any problem.
THANK YOU
