My first neuro said the same thing even after a spinal......forward 5 years, I have secondary progressive. She should have put me on a med right away, maybe it would have slowed it down. I would suggest a spinal and a second opinion.
My first Nero said I had it because of the lesions I have, he decided to do a spinal tap because insurance purposes. Well, spinal tap showed nothing that they could find... So this guy comes back and tells me after 2 years "well you do not have it" even though I have all the signs... I went home and for days I did investigation on the Internet because I knew I had it and wanted to be treated for it to slow down the progression of it. I called and called that doctor and he finally referred me to a doctor who specializes in MS, and of course I have been on medication for two years now..trust your self, if you are not trusting this doctors opinions find a new one, it is your body and you know what is going on with it! Good luck..
Is your Neuro an MS specialist?
