@A MyMSTeam Member, I will try to keep my answer succinct and thank you so much for asking. The main differences between Ann Boroch's diet and Terry Wahls' is that Ann's focuses on Candida Albicans turning into something that hurts our myelin and Terry Wahls is about feeding our mitochondria. They are both about using nutrient-dense food as medicine to heal our bodies, myelin and to treat the cause of MS, not just the symptoms. Ann Boroch states that chronic inflammation and infection are the cause of MS and almost all disease. Inflammation is the result of four factors: infections (candida, parasites, viruses, and bacteria); nutritional deficiency and toxicity; environmental toxicity; and unmanaged psychological stress. Ann Boroch stresses that the candida cure is a two-pronged strategy involving: internal detox and remedies; and Nutrition rebuilding your myelin and for CNS repair. Ann defines a healthy diet as 60% organic vegetables, 20% meat and fish that is antibiotic and hormone-free (meat from grass-fed animals), 15% organic fruits, nuts, seeds, beans/legumes, and unrefined oils. She goes on to say which foods are beneficial and which to avoid and when to introduce them back into the diet, if ever.

Terry Wahls is very paleo, heavy on meats and organ meats. Both Terry and Ann are big advocates of veggies, less on fruits and very against wheat, gluten, dairy and refined sugars. Luckily they supply tasty, filling recipes with the acceptable ingredients.

I own books from both authors and respect them very much.

That is true @A MyMSTeam Member. However - I believe that any improvement in health is good to share and is beneficial. I do not embrace the FDA as the end-all answer to all things for my health. I could say more about that - but won't (and will refrain from all caps and exclamation points).

@A MyMSTeam Member - what is Ann Boroch, CNC's diet about?

I am gradually taking on the Wahl's protocol - slowly (as she suggests). So far - so good - it is a very healthy and balanced food plan (Dr. Wahl's is both an MD - practicing Medicine in the Western fashion - and combines Functional medicine in her practice).
FYI - since there is little, if any money in research into this approach - she is doing her own research. Looking forward to more results.

I too just started the Wahls Protocol. The MS Society did an article on it just yesterday 1-7-15. Her story is compelling

I'm on paleo, love it except I really would love to have a slice of pizza.
It hasn't done anything for my symptoms but I lost some weight and feel like I'm healthier(other than the shaking and eye problems and my cane..)

I am trying gluten-free, plant-based, and eating small amount for 5-6 times a day. I feel my digestion system is better.
