My tongue feels like my taste buds are burned. Especially in the back. Does anyone have this problem? It is very hard to eat or drink anything. I can't enjoy anything I've eaten because my tongue hurts too much. Any thought would be greatly appreciated!

I have had a burning tongue and dry mouth for years.I chew gum all day. After eating I need the gum to moisturis my mouth or I end up slurring my words. The doc says it's from meds and like the same thing causing burning feet.I use Biotine spray before bed so I can fall asleep before the burning gets too bad. I think it is another side effect of MS. I can't eat spicy food
and food does not taste as it did before.

aTerriCooperLira thank you so much for answering my question. I also feel like I bit my tongue in the back. I don't know what causes this, but it sure isn't fun having this problem!

@A MyMSTeam Member Thank you for answering the question I asked. I also have severe dry mouth too. I have to always suck on a piece of candy to keep my mouth moist. Because of the dry mouth ruining me teeth, I now have to get dentures. I am very upset and scared about that

Girl I have been having this for almost a year now, it's horrible, now when I sleep my tongue gets sore on the right side in the back like I bite it or something and hurts down my throat and up into my ear. No one knows what this is, I have had my Dentist check it out there are no sore's or signs of anything, it doesn't hurt to touch it just when I eat.. I had researched it a little and it's called BMS (burning mouth syndrome)
