Just a note, service dogs trainers, usually require their dogs are placed in homes where they are the only animal, even service dogs can be distracted and the bond forms in the home, although a retired service dog may be an exception. It's a long process, upwards to 2 years + and the service lasts for 8 years.

I have own 7 German Shepherds. 5 have been with us since 6 -7 weeks old. 3 Have left us. Shiloh 1 is buried a thousand miles away, put down 5 months old from a birth defect. Diamond Girl unfortunately I put down and my son & I cremated her. Her ashes are in our field on our Shy of 40 here, 11 yrs. old. Shiloh 2 passed away in my lap. Was my son's Shiloh. Had a big part in making my son the strong and kind man he is. 11 + yrs. old and buried in our field. (with 100 tulips) My Cocoa is almost 5. My Patricia's Sable is almost 11. They all learned not to leave the yard, stay in the house as needed, sleep in the house, take care of those who need it, be companions, friends, family, and we are a pack. We don't need to be victims. We can be survivors. Rely on others.... If needed. Give the dog of your choice quality time and you will get what you put in.... back. Like children, there are exceptions? Yes. Nothing is 100%. Some breeds to not make good service dogs or pack/family dogs. Also many rescue dogs can possibly be good for many MS needs. Treat them as you would want to be treated. Learn if you need to about Alpha, Omega and more in the animal world. Strength with kindness. Firmness without anger. Understanding. That's all!
