Because my insurance company denied a c-spine MRI as they have deemed that it not medically necessary

MS places it's scars/lesions on the nervous system (in the brain and along the spinal cord). The spinal cord is broken into 5 areas. The cervical spine(c-spine) is the first starting with the neck. Your doctor wants to see if there are any lesions causing you weakness or trouble in this area. Often times a test, procedure ect... is billed for /approved by providing a diagnosis code relating to ones illness(MS). Sure your doctor is aware of this. Then of course there is always insurances frequently finding reasons not to pay, though they have never examined you. Often times insurances see dollar signs only. If you are having any problems in this area maybe putting that symptom code along with the MS code will help(if not already done).

My neurologist orders my MRI's. I always have a full spine and brain done once a year.
