I believe you are talking of LEAKY GUT SYNDROM (close but no cigar). Yes it is an inflammatory causing issue, and as you know any inflammation with MS causes issues. I have done quite a bit of research over the past two years on this. I have been very religious in taking a quality Probiotic to try to balance the enzymes and bacteria in the intestinal unit to control inflammation. Seems to help a bit. Just have to get it in control. And as you probably see from many sources, diet nd nutrition are key to winning the battle. All goes hand in hand.

No reason why not, the CNS is responsible for the control of all muscles including the sphincter. When the CNS is comprimised there results muscle weakness.

If this is mucus that is leaking it may not be MS so pays to consult a medical professional.

I'd recommend you read "The Wahls Protocol," or go on Dr Wahls web site. She is a professor of clinical medicine and has SPMS. She was wheel chair bound, but after adapting the paleo diet she cycles 20 miles and lectures all over the USA. She is an expert on the leaky gut. Sue has been on the diet for 15 months and it has radically modified her PPMS.
