Even if you don't feel you're painkillers are working and you want to stop taking them, is it true you have to be weaned off them because you can have withdrawal symptoms that are apparently quite bad?

For most painkillers that is true.

I let the doctors know I'd like to keep my mind clear and not do undie damage that some painkillers cause to our brains. I eat a giluten-free diet and have animal products a few times a week. I eat fresh or steamed vegies and fresh fruit and water most of my diet.

My pain issues went away a month into this way if eating. I have fractured 4 vertibrae from various falls over the past few years and I am slso diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I occasionally use a couple ibuprofen over a week or two when I need to for optic neuritis pain or a pulled muscle or MS spasm. Many pain meds cause constipation and that is one pain I choose to avoid.
