Members shared helpful strategies for getting MS disease-modifying drugs without insurance or with limited coverage, focusing on patient assistance and grant programs offered directly by drug manufacturers. Several members described success by contacting drug companies directly, qualifying for grant programs like the one offered by the Ocrevus manufacturer, and using resources like the Mark Cuban cost-plus drug website. A recurring theme was to always ask about patient assistance programs, explore clinical trials through your neurologist, and never give up even if you face a 'no' along the way.

My insurance does not cover my MS medication *OCREVUS I go through the actual drug company and qualify for a grant program with them and the majority of the cost is covered.

In the past, my neurologist office would provide me with copaxone samples that the drug rep would drop off. I did that for 2-3 years. And I also have had success contacting the manufacturer directly through a special phone number they each have for patient assistance program.
