Hemp is another word for cannabis. Many of us find the use of marijuana indispensable to maintaining a normal life.

Do NOT try HEMP. It's for making paper, very fiberous, it's what money used to be printed on. Now cannabis is a different story. I have found in my adult years, as well as being on opiates for years, that cannibis is an amazing plant. What used to just get me high in my teens and make me hungry, now has properties that effect my everyday life positively. It's one of the reasons why I believe it took my husband getting stage 4 lung cancer in January 2016 to send me into the spiral that became my diagnosis of MS in May 2017. I can trace my symptoms back to age 17, possibly earlier, but they also manifested as other things as MS is so good at hiding. I now appreciate that it helps with pain, depression, nausea, migraines, nerve issues (I have spinal fusion with permanent nerve damage), anxiety, panic attacks and a whole big list of other things. The sad thing about Cannabis is that it has been taught to us as a BAD BAD BAD thing, the crazy part is, it's a schedule 1 drug...worse than heroin (which gets prescribed to children in some cases), and has no medicinal value, but we used to readily take it daily for many things before the government stepped in and said "It's BAD!" The sad part is, with that schedule 1 listing, comes a stigma and a legality issue with even testing it to see if it truly helps with these things. It's a plant provided by Mother Nature that is chastised by humanity. I truly never thought I would ever see it legalized in my lifetime, and we've gone there in some states, now if we can just get the government to step on the bandwagon and test it, we might actually be able to provide "actual figures" to prove these things, but cannabis is bad and illegal so we don't know for sure. All I can do is tell you that I KNOW it has helped me, and it continues to help me as I'm sure it does MANY others. I hope we can get our heads out of the sand one day soon. We try so much to control that we forget to slow down and actually explore a "weed" that may actually be as useful as it was a hundred years ago.

Having medical and recreational marijuana accessible and legal in the state I live, makes it easier to take, but I still don't take advantage of it constantly. I would recommend the edibles over smoking it. Its a different effect. But easy does it..doesn't take much. There is an edibles soda that works well. I don't know too much about the oils . Edibles help me go to bed and takes some of my tension away. But people who work in the dispensary here have a lot of knowledge, so be sure to ask questions and know what you may get or you may hate life for a few hours. Ha ha
