Question... On Monday November 6 I go to the doctor to decide what medication I should take. I don't know what type of MS I have, but I do know I have lesions on my brain, brain stem and spinal cord. What would you suggest I start with??? I'm so confused ππππ
Tysarbri the best treatment i know it comes with risks but i recommend it i was on it for ten years and it cjanged my life
It depends on the type of MS you have; there are 4 types ; if you have RRMS or Relapsing Remitting MS then after being put on injections subcutaneous Copaxone, intramuscular Avonex, and now capsules Gilenya personally I would recommend Gilenya. I have gone nearly 3 years without RELAPSE on it and you take 1 capsule/daily.
Donβt be confused usually your doctor will help you make that decision
All we can do is guess, based on our own personal experience with medication.
We all know that MS is totally random, and will have a different effect for all of us, and we should therefore listen to our Doctor...
I would pick a top three list? Personally I would lean towards Tecfidera or Tysabri. I would also look up the side effects & the chances of each medication working. Then ask your neurologist what their top 3 medication choices for you & why.
